Wheeled Humanoid Robot for Service and Production Operations
AgiBot G2 Air is a lightweight wheeled robotic platform for logistical, production, and commercial tasks in confined spaces. The omnidirectional chassis provides movement at speeds of up to 1.5 m/s, and each robotic arm is designed to handle loads of up to 3 kg. The 360° spatial perception system helps navigate the work area, determine the position of surrounding objects, and perform manipulations while moving. G2 Air is suitable for working between shelves, sorting, transporting items, and operations near equipment.
Advantages of AgiBot G2 Air
- 26 degrees of freedom. The kinematic system of the body, arms, and lower part provides a wide range of positions and supports complex manipulations in various work zones.
- Seven-degree robotic arms. Each arm has 7 degrees of freedom, and the joints are equipped with torque sensors. The force control accuracy is less than 0.5 N.
- Movable body. Three degrees of freedom in the waist and two degrees of freedom in the lower part allow for tilts and turns, expanding the working area of the manipulators.
- Omnidirectional movement. The chassis supports controlled turning, on-the-spot rotation, and lateral movement for precise positioning near shelves, equipment, and workstations.
- 360° work area view. A complex of cameras, laser, and ultrasonic sensors helps monitor the surrounding space and detect obstacles.
- Collision control. The system tracks mechanical contact in the joints of the manipulators and can respond to unwanted collisions during operation.
- Autonomous operation up to 4 hours. The robot supports automatic return to the charging station, and the power design is aimed at reducing downtime between work cycles.
- Remote control. The stereoscopic observation system supports remote control and spatial monitoring of the work area.
Omnidirectional Chassis for Confined Spaces
AgiBot G2 Air is equipped with a wheeled platform for precise maneuvering in narrow aisles and work zones. The chassis allows for forward and backward movement, changing direction, rotating on the spot, and moving sideways without complex turns. Main movement modes:
- controlled turn for moving along a specified trajectory;
- on-the-spot rotation for quick direction changes;
- lateral movement for precise approach to shelves, equipment, and workstations.
This kinematics is suitable for warehouse aisles, retail spaces, service zones, and production facilities where the robot operates near equipment and other objects.
Movement Speed and Working Range
AgiBot G2 Air reaches speeds of up to 1.5 m/s, allowing for quick movement between work zones. Actual speed depends on route configuration, aisle width, equipment placement, and specified work parameters.
The working range of the end module is 0–1800 mm, allowing interaction with shelves, containers, work surfaces, and equipment at various heights. The maximum reach of the robotic arm is 750 mm without considering the gripper or other end module.
Robotic Arms with Load Capacity up to 3 kg
Each robotic arm of the AgiBot G2 Air is designed for a nominal load of up to 3 kg. When selecting a work scenario, it is necessary to consider the item's weight, center of gravity, shape, type of end gripper, and movement trajectory.
The 3 kg load is specified for one arm and does not imply automatic doubling of the permissible mass during the joint operation of two manipulators. The joint control system supports millisecond-level responses. Built-in collision detection registers unwanted mechanical contact and transmits information to the control system for an appropriate response.
360° Spatial Perception
AgiBot G2 Air monitors the surrounding space at 360° using a complex of cameras, LiDAR, and ultrasonic sensors. Cameras form visual data, the laser system provides spatial scanning, and ultrasonic sensors help detect obstacles at close range.
Spatial perception works in conjunction with the collision control system and the stop on physical contact function. After registering contact with a person or object, the control system can stop movement according to the specified scenario. Speed parameters, permissible work zones, and obstacle response algorithms need to be configured according to specific operating conditions.
Transferring Algorithms from Simulation to Physical Robot
AgiBot G2 Air supports transferring models pre-trained in a simulation environment to a physical robotic platform. Part of the training, configuration, and algorithm verification can be performed in a virtual environment with subsequent adaptation to the real robot.
This approach is suitable for practicing navigation, manipulations, and action sequences and helps reduce the volume of initial trials on physical equipment. Before practical use, the algorithm needs to be tested on a specific robot, work area, and real objects, as the behavior of the physical system may differ from simulation results.
Applications of AgiBot G2 Air
- Logistics and sorting. Grabbing, moving, and distributing items within the work area and permissible load.
- Stores and retail spaces. Compact chassis and lateral movement allow working between shelves and in narrow aisles.
- Supermarkets. Moving between shopping rows and performing robotic operations in different parts of the hall.
- Hotel and service systems. Working in corridors, service rooms, and other internal zones.
- Industrial operations. Used as a mobile manipulator near equipment, production lines, and workstations.
