Matte Resin Formlabs Alpha Model Resin for 3D Printing Detailed Models

Formlabs Alpha Model Resin Cartridge for Form Studio 1, 1 L — gray photopolymer resin for printing detailed models with a deep fully matte surface and clearly reproduced textures and relief. The material is well-suited for further painting of finished models.

Printing with Layer Thickness of 30 and 50 Microns

Alpha Model Resin supports printing with a layer thickness of 30 and 50 microns, while Alpha Grey Resin has profiles for 50 and 100 microns. The 30-micron profile is available for tasks where the reproduction of fine elements and textures is particularly important.

The standard Form Studio 1 Resin Tank, compatible with Alpha Resins, is used for printing.

Alpha Model Resin is designed for Form Studio 1. Alpha Resins are not compatible with Form 4/4B and Form 4L/4BL.

Properties of Liquid Alpha Model Resin

In its liquid state, Alpha Model Resin V1 is gray in color, with a density of 1.08 g/cm³ and a dynamic viscosity of 650 cP at 25 °C.

Post-Processing of Finished Models

Alpha Resins are compatible with Formlabs Resin Washing Solution.

For Form Studio Wash+Cure, the basic setting for Alpha Resins includes 5 minutes of washing and 5 minutes of curing. After printing is completed, Form Studio 1 displays the recommended washing and curing times.

When working with liquid Alpha Model Resin, protective gloves must be used; the safety data sheet also recommends eye protection and protective clothing.

When using Alpha Resins on Form Studio 1 along with VOC Extractor, the system meets the UL GREENGUARD Gold certification requirements for low chemical emissions.
