Alpha Grey Resin Formlabs for SLA Printing of Models and Prototypes

Formlabs Alpha Grey Resin Cartridge for Form Studio 1, 1 L — a gray photopolymer resin from the Alpha Resins line, specifically created for Form Studio 1. The material is intended for SLA printing of models, prototypes, and other parts.

Properties of Alpha Grey Resin

Alpha Grey Resin V1 in liquid state has a density of 1.08 g/cm³ and a dynamic viscosity of 650 cP at 25 °C.

The material is characterized by a matte surface of the finished parts. In the Alpha Grey, Black, and White line, the manufacturer also claims clear reproduction of fine elements and smooth dimensionally accurate surfaces.

Printing on Form Studio 1

For Alpha Grey Resin, printing with a layer thickness of 50 and 100 μm is available.

The material is used with the standard Form Studio 1 Resin Tank, compatible with the entire Alpha Resins line. A Resin Tank Pro for Alpha Grey Resin is not required.

Alpha Resins are specifically designed for Form Studio 1 and are not compatible with Form 4/4B and Form 4L/4BL.

Post-processing and Working with the Material

Alpha Grey Resin is compatible with Formlabs Resin Washing Solution. The basic setting for Form Studio Wash+Cure for Alpha Resins involves 5 minutes of washing and 5 minutes of curing. After printing is completed, Form Studio 1 displays the recommended washing and curing time.

When working with liquid resin, it is recommended to use protective gloves.

When using Alpha Resins on Form Studio 1 with a VOC Extractor, the system meets the UL GREENGUARD Gold certification requirements for low chemical emissions.
