Formlabs Alpha Resin for Fast 3D Printing of Prototypes

Formlabs Alpha Fast Resin Cartridge for Form Studio 1, 1 L — a photopolymer resin designed for rapid prototyping and speeding up repeated iterations on Form Studio 1. The material supports a printing speed of up to 130 mm/h, allowing you to reduce the time between model preparation and obtaining the finished printed part.

Up to 130 mm/h for Fast Iterations

Alpha Fast Resin is focused on tasks where printing time is of primary importance. The material allows printing individual components in minutes, and a full work volume in less than 2 hours.

This approach is especially useful during the sequential creation and testing of multiple prototype versions, when you need to quickly move from one iteration to the next.

Alpha Fast Resin Printing Profiles

The material is available with a layer thickness of 150 and 250 µm. This distinguishes Alpha Fast Resin from Alpha Grey, White, Black, and Clear, which have profiles of 50 and 100 µm.

Alpha Fast Resin is used with the standard Form Studio 1 Resin Tank. Its film is designed for Alpha Resins and optimized for fast printing and reproduction of fine elements.

Compatibility with Form Studio 1

Alpha Fast Resin is part of the Alpha Resins family, created specifically for Form Studio 1. Materials in this line are not compatible with Form 4/4B and Form 4L/4BL.

Post-Processing After Fast Printing

Alpha Resins are compatible with Formlabs Resin Washing Solution. The basic Form Studio Wash+Cure setting provides for 5 minutes of washing and 5 minutes of curing. After printing is complete, Form Studio 1 displays the recommended washing and curing time.

When working with liquid resin, it is recommended to use protective gloves.

When using Alpha Resins on Form Studio 1 with VOC Extractor, the system meets the UL GREENGUARD Gold certification requirements for low chemical emissions.
