Unitree As2-W X is a robotic dog with wheels and 16 degrees of freedom for fast movement, working on complex terrain, and carrying additional loads. The controlled joints allow changing the body position on uneven surfaces, while the wheels accelerate movement on solid surfaces. The robot is equipped with industrial LiDAR, an HD camera, a microphone array, a speaker, front lighting, and an 8-core processor. The model is suitable for routes requiring fast movement, overcoming obstacles, data collection, and installing additional equipment.

Features of Unitree As2-W X

Drives and Construction

Unitree As2-W X has 16 drives with low-inertia high-speed synchronous motors with permanent magnets and an internal rotor. The joints are equipped with industrial cross-roller bearings, and dual encoders control the position of the drives. Local air cooling dissipates heat during operation. The maximum torque is about 95 Nm.

Passability and Load

The working speed is 0–3.7 m/s, with a peak speed of about 6 m/s. The robot can handle slopes with an angle of about 45°, steps up to 30 cm high, and obstacles approximately 0.4–0.8 m. During prolonged movement, the permissible load is about 16 kg, and in a stationary position, it is about 150 kg.

Sensors and Control

Unitree As2-W X is equipped with an industrial 64–128-line LiDAR and an HD camera for obtaining spatial and visual data. A microphone array, speaker, and front lighting complement the standard equipment. An 8-core processor handles basic data processing. The robot supports ISS 3.0 for automatic tracking, additional software development, UniStore, and Smart OTA updates.

Battery and Connectivity

The Long-Endurance lithium battery has a capacity of 15,000 mAh and a voltage of 36–50.4 V. Without a load, the robot operates for about 3 hours and covers approximately 30 km. With a load of 16 kg, the operating time exceeds 2 hours, and the distance is about 25 km. The charging device is 50.4 V / 7.4 A. The charging dock for the As2-W X version is not included in the standard package. Data transmission is available via Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, Gigabit Ethernet, SBUS, and BAT power output.

Body and Working Conditions

The body is made of aluminum alloy and high-strength engineering plastic. The robot's weight with the battery is about 25 kg. Dimensions in working position are 721 × 493 × 521 mm, and in folded position are 768 × 602 × 211 mm. The wheels have a diameter of 178 mm and a width of 50 mm. Protection class is IP54, and the working temperature is from −20 °C to +55 °C.
