Main Advantages of Unitree A2 Pro

  • Working with a Load. Unitree A2 Pro can carry up to 25 kg while walking, and the maximum static load in a standing position is about 100 kg. This allows for the installation of sensors, cameras, communication modules, computing units, data collection devices, or test equipment for industrial inspection and logistics routes.
  • Two Hot-Swappable Batteries. The robot has two battery compartments, and one battery has a capacity of 9000 mAh, or 453.6 Wh. Two batteries provide a total of 18,000 mAh, or 907.2 Wh, and hot-swap support reduces pauses between work cycles.
  • Long Routes with and without Load. Without a payload, the A2 Pro operates for over 5 hours and covers approximately 20 km. With a 25 kg load, it is claimed to operate for over 3 hours and cover a route of about 12.5 km, making the robot suitable for logistics for long tests in warehouses, production sites, and ranges.
  • Two LiDARs for Spatial Perception. The A2 Pro version has LiDAR at the front and rear, an HD camera, and front light. This configuration helps the robot read obstacles, collect data for mapping, move through technical passages, and work indoors or in open areas.
  • Mechanics for Uneven Surfaces. The robot dog has 12 degrees of freedom, joint motors with a maximum torque of about 180 Nm, and industrial cross-roller bearings. Thanks to this, the platform can move up stairs up to 30 cm, slopes of about 45°, and routes where wheeled vehicles find it difficult to maintain passability.
  • Protected Body for Field Conditions. The body is made of aluminum alloy and high-strength engineering plastic. Tips Before Purchase

  • Clearly Define the Target Task. Write down the main usage scenario of the device: regular inspection rounds, carrying loads in logistics, 3D mapping of the area, warehouse patrolling, laboratory research, or technology demonstration.
  • Consider the Specifics of Useful Load. Calculate the working weight of the equipment, focusing on a dynamic limit of up to 25 kg while walking. The static load indicator of 100 kg is a maximum support parameter and is not calculated for movement.
  • Maximize the Use of the Dual LiDAR System. Use the standard configuration with two sensors to build high-precision 3D maps, autonomous navigation on complex industrial routes, and confident obstacle avoidance.
  • Analyze Operating Conditions. Evaluate the working area in advance: the presence of stairs with a step height of up to 30 cm, slope angles (up to 45°), type of flooring, temperature range from -20 °C to +55 °C, as well as dust and moisture levels for using IP56–IP67 protection.
  • Plan the Timing of Autonomous Missions. Note that a walking duration of over 5 hours is possible without a load, and under a load limit of 25 kg, it is over 3 hours. For continuous operation, schedule battery replacement and recharging in advance.
  • Design Integration of Third-Party Equipment. Check the compatibility of your sensors, cameras, or manipulators with onboard interfaces RS485, CAN, Gigabit Ethernet, and USB 3.0 Type-C, as well as compatibility with power lines 12 V, 24 V, or direct BAT output.
  • Clarify the Exact Configuration of the Delivery. Since the basic set may change, be sure to agree on the availability of GPS and 4G modules, additional batteries, fast charging, and AI expansion boards before ordering.
  • Ensure Service Support. Agree in advance with the supplier on the terms of the 12-month engineering warranty, delivery times for components, availability of technical consultations, and basic training for your team in Ukraine.
