Fiberlogy's HD PLA filament is an interesting material for 3D printing applications, offering twice the versatility.

It has both the properties of PLA plastic with its very good adhesion, greater printing accuracy, environmental friendliness and excellent aesthetic properties. So it can acquire properties similar to ABS, with its greater strength and resistance to high temperatures.

Now, depending on your goals, you have the opportunity to choose what properties your finished product will have. Your prints may be similar to ABS, but you won't have the same problems as printing with ABS. After all, you will print with PLA material, and then simply carry out the annealing process in the oven. By heating HD PLA models according to the instructions, you can avoid all the problems that accompany printing with ABS, such as annoying odors or dangerous fumes.

Application of HD PLA Filament

Due to the properties of strength and durability that the material acquires after annealing, as well as excellent accuracy characteristics and aesthetic qualities, the scope of HD PLA is extremely wide. Print decor items, prototypes, figurines, jewelry, toys, gadget and instrument cases, various spare parts and elements of machines, equipment and much more from it.

HD PLA Properties

  • Biodegradability.
  • Surface with a slight sheen.
  • The possibility of drying (annealing) the model in oven and achieving properties similar to ABS.
  • Lack of smells and evaporations in the course of the press.
  • After drying - increased strength and high temperature resistance.
  • Notes: Due to the dye used in HD PLA White, the recommended minimum print temperature is 230°C.

Fiberlogy manufactures its products on modern German equipment from high quality raw materials delivered from trusted suppliers. Quality control takes place at every stage of plastic production. Particular attention is paid to the filament purity and uniformity of its diameter along its entire length. The plastic diameter is checked with a laser micrometer to ensure the best dimensional tolerance (above average +/- 0.02 mm), and nozzles (+0.01 mm). Manufacturer reports about it every time on the packaging.
