Advantages of Ultrafuse® 17-4 PH

  • Compatible with most open source FFF 3D printers.
  • Cost-effective solution for small-scale metal parts production.
  • Supports standard post-processing (debinding and sintering).
  • Ability to use in industry, medicine, jewelry and prototyping.
  • Metal 3D printing becomes simple and affordable.
  • Mechanical strength and hardness of finished products.
  • Industrial-grade corrosion resistance.
  • Full hardening ensures the highest strength

Applications

Ultrafuse® 17-4 PH is ideal for the production of:

  • Tools and fixtures.
  • Small-scale metal parts.
  • Prototypes with testing function.
  • Components for aggressive environments.

Applications of Ultrafuse® 17-4 PH

3D Printing Stainless Steel: Processing Process

The filament is used to create so-called "green parts", which then undergo debinding and sintering. This allows for the production of fully metallic parts with a high degree of density and strength.

The metal filament from BASF allows for the production of parts for further rinsing and heat treatment. After completion of the manufacturing process, the part reaches maximum strength.

High quality parameters allow the use of finished parts even in the petrochemical, aerospace and automotive industries

Properties of finished products

The finished products have all the properties inherent in Ultrafuse® 17-4 PH stainless steel. Dispersion hardening increases strength and hardness.

The product has martensitic and magnetic properties.

Ultrafuse® 17-4 PH opens up new possibilities for 3D printing of metallic components from stainless steel, offering convenience, cost-effectiveness and professional quality in one solution.
