TPU 95A Plastic KLEMA for Flexible and Mechanically Loaded Parts

TPU 95A Plastic KLEMA 1.75 mm 1 kg Black is a flexible thermoplastic polyurethane filament for FDM 3D printing of functional parts and models with a hardness of 95A Shore. The material combines elasticity, tensile strength, significant elongation at break, and impact resistance, making it suitable for products that need to withstand significant deformation and recover their shape after compression.

Material Advantages

  • Hardness 95A Shore provides a combination of flexibility and the ability of the part to maintain its shape;
  • Significant elongation at break allows the material to withstand substantial stretching;
  • Tensile strength is suitable for flexible functional parts that operate under mechanical load;
  • Impact strength increases the resistance of products to impact and contact loads;
  • Abrasion resistance expands the application possibilities for parts whose surfaces contact or rub during operation;
  • The material can recover its shape after compression, which is important for products that undergo repeated deformation.

Elasticity, Strength, and Load Resistance

TPU 95A combines flexibility with sufficient structural rigidity. Hardness 95A Shore allows printed parts to bend and deform while maintaining their shape during operation.

Tensile strength is about 31 MPa, and elongation at break exceeds 900%. This combination of characteristics allows the material to be used for products that work under tension, bending, and repeated deformation.

Impact strength according to Izod with a notch is about 47 kJ/m². Together with abrasion resistance, this makes TPU 95A suitable for parts that operate under mechanical contact and periodic loads.

3D Printing Modes

Nozzle temperature depends on the selected printing speed. At a speed of 50–80 mm/s, a temperature range of 190–210°C is used, and at a speed of 80–120 mm/s210–230°C. Increasing the temperature at higher speeds helps maintain the necessary material fluidity and extrusion stability.

Platform temperature is 50–60°C. A textured PEI platform without additional surface treatment is suitable for printing. Active cooling is used during operation.

Retraction length is 0.8–1.2 mm, retraction speed — 30–40 mm/s. PVA can be used for soluble support structures.

Drying and Storage

The recommended drying temperature for TPU 95A is 50–60°C.

The filament should be stored hermetically with a desiccant at a relative humidity below 20% RH. The material also needs to be protected from direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation can cause color changes.

Applications

TPU 95A Plastic KLEMA is suitable for:

  • Flexible functional parts;
  • Parts operating under mechanical load;
  • Parts with increased abrasion resistance requirements;
  • Sports equipment;
  • Accessories;
  • Decorative items;
  • Toys and figurines;
  • Lighting elements.
