Specifications of the Revopoint 3D scanner MetroX

Revopoint MetroX is equipped with 14 blue laser cross lines and 7 parallel blue laser lines. The device also uses a 62-line blue full-screen structured light. This ensures high scanning accuracy and speed.

Key Features

The scanner offers 4 flexible scanning modes. The device's accuracy reaches 0.03 mm, which corresponds to the metrology class. Volumetric accuracy is up to 0.03 mm + 0.1 mm × L (m). The scanning speed in structured light mode reaches 7,000,000 points per second. In multi-line laser mode, the speed is up to 800,000 points per second.

Automatic scanning mode

MetroX supports automatic scanning mode using a turntable. This mode allows you to scan in color, which is especially useful for creating detailed 3D models.

MetroX Light Sources

The device uses three types of light sources:

• Cross Lines: Up to 800,000 dots per second with 14 intersecting blue laser lines.
• Parallel Lines: 7 powerful parallel blue laser lines for capturing objects.
• Full Blue Structured Light: Up to 7 million dots per second using 62 lines.

Scanning Speed

MetroX offers high scanning speed. In full field structured light mode, the speed reaches 7,000,000 dots per second. In multi-line laser mode, the speed is up to 800,000 dots per second.

Automatic turntable

Scanning is done with one click thanks to the dual-axis turntable. Revo Scan and MetroX work simultaneously, simplifying the scanning process.

Revopoint 3D scanner: scanning accuracy

Revopoint MetroX scanning accuracy corresponds to metrology class. The device provides accuracy up to 0.01 mm and up to 0.03 mm. These figures were obtained under controlled laboratory conditions.

Flexible capture area

MetroX offers two capture areas:

• 160 x 70 mm by 200 mm.
• 320 x 215 mm by 400 mm.

Using a scanning spray

For scanning shiny, black, transparent or mirror surfaces, it is recommended to use a scanning spray. This is especially important when working in the multi-line laser and full-field structured light modes.

Volumetric marker blocks

Marker blocks significantly speed up the scanning process. They are especially useful when working with featureless objects that are difficult to scan without additional marks.

Revo Scan 5 MetroX Software

Revo Scan 5 MetroX software provides a wide range of functions. It allows you to create point clouds, merge, mesh, edit, merge and import data.

The device is equipped with 4 physical control buttons. The HD RGB camera transmits all shades of colors, which ensures high-quality color scanning.

Safety Tips

• The device uses a class 2M laser projector. Do not look at it from a close distance.
• To avoid retinal damage, do not look directly into the laser beam through optical instruments such as telescopes or camera lenses.
• Do not place reflective surfaces (such as mirrors or glass) in the path of the laser beam.
• The device is equipped with flashing lights that may not be suitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy.
• To work with MetroX, it is recommended to use a processor with ≥8 cores, ≥16 threads and a base frequency of ≥2.4 GHz.
