Hemispherical laser scanner Surphaser 80HSX
Surphaser 80HSX hemispherical laser scanner is an industrial metrological-grade device with an ultra-short range of action from 0.25 to 7 m. It is used to obtain three-dimensional data on the geometry of large objects. Surphaser scanners are known in the 3D measurement industry for offering the most accurate large object scans, resolution, and data quality available in rangefinder scanners. Surphaser scanners are second to none when it comes to data quality and measurement accuracy.
Typical applications for this type of scanner are aircraft construction, military equipment, automobiles, shipbuilding, large industrial equipment such as power generation, large impellers, large molded parts, buildings, architecture, sculpture, and more. All applications where very high data quality and accuracy are important, in quality assurance and reverse engineering.
Surphaser manufactures ultra-short and short range scanners, as well as medium and long range scanners. Surphaser 80HSX scanners are positioned as ultrashort segment devices. Scanning range (range) model 80HSX - from 0.25 to 7 m.
How Surphaser Scanners Work
The scanner rotates in two planes, 360º vertical and 270º horizontal, projecting a laser beam that is directed into the space around the scanner by a mirror set at an angle of 45 degrees. The beam is reflected from the surface of the scanned object and returned to the scanner sensor. It calculates the distance to the object from the phase shift. Scanner collects XYZ coordinate data point cloud of the measured object's surface. The data quality obtained is ensured by the high density of laser beams per 1° angle. Scanner reads the geometry of large objects at a high speed of more than 208 000 points per second and submillimeter accuracy up to 0.025 mm.
