Activation
After placing and paying for your order, you will receive an email with a unique license key. This key must be entered on the printer's touch screen to activate the license.
- One-time lifetime license fee for each printer.

The Open Material Mode is an optional paid license that allows advanced users to print with any 405nm photopolymer on Formlabs printers.
Use any 405 nm photopolymer resin from any supplier on Formlabs SLA 3D printers trusted by tens of thousands of professionals worldwide.
Certified materials
Expanding Formlabs with a select list of third-party materials in partnership with leading resin manufacturers to provide access to new applications and regions.

Print Settings Editor
A new PreForm feature that allows advanced users to customize print performance by changing print settings, coming in October with PreForm 3.32.
Customize print performance using Formlabs and certified third-party materials by adjusting a range of settings that control exposure, layer height, resolution, scaling, heat, wipe, and movement between layers.

When using Open Material Mode, some failure modes that are more likely to be caused by third-party resins are excluded from our standard warranty. Read Formlabs Terms of Service for more details.
Activating an Open Material Mode requires a temporary internet connection (using Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or mobile hotspot).
