Formlabs Flexible 80A V2 Resin for Form 4, 1 Liter is a black elastic photopolymer that, after curing, mimics the properties of cast urethane or hard rubber (Shore 83A hardness). The material is designed for 3D printing durable parts that are regularly subjected to bending, compression, or stretching – such as seals, shock absorbers, dampers, handles, and protective covers. Material Application in Practice

In practice, the featured Formlabs Flexible 80A V2 resin behaves very predictably. It is suitable for both creating functional prototypes and finished small-batch products. It is often used to print protective tips for tools that prevent damage to delicate parts during production, or shock-absorbing bumpers. After printing, parts must be washed in isopropyl alcohol and undergo a two-stage post-polymerization in a UV chamber (first in water, then in air) – this guarantees the declared physical properties.


Final Post-processing Features

To achieve the declared mechanical properties and eliminate surface stickiness, it is important to follow a clear post-processing algorithm after printing. First, parts are washed in pure isopropyl alcohol (IPA) with a concentration of at least 90%. Please note that this resin is incompatible with the standard Formlabs Resin Washing Solution.

After washing, be sure to let the models air dry for at least 30 minutes. Post-polymerization itself consists of two stages – first, the parts are immersed in a container of UV-transmitting water and cured at room temperature, and after complete drying, a final heating with UV rays is performed in the air inside the Form Cure chamber.
