PET-G Glow in the Dark filament Spectrum Filaments 1,75 mm / 0,5 kg

3D plastic PET-G glowing in the dark

PET-G Glow in the Dark plastic for 3D printing Spectrum Filaments has an incredibly strong afterglow effect. It is a material based on PET-G, mixed with concentrated phosphorescent pigment, which causes the effect of phosphorescence. Details printed from this plastic are able to glow in the dark after being built under the influence of an external light source. The material has all the typical characteristics of pure PET-G - the added pigment does not affect the properties of the material.

Addition of phosphorescent pigment to PET-G provides the following properties of printed products:

  • The ability to emit its own light after prior exposure to an external light source.
  • Ability to "control" the light intensity of printed products by adjusting the wall thickness and density of the filler.

Keep in mind: to achieve a stronger and longer lasting glow effect, leave the model in the light for a long time. The presence of phosphorescent pigment can also cause wear of the brass nozzle. Therefore, for long-term printing with Spectrum PET-G Glow in the Dark thread, it is recommended to use stainless steel nozzles.

Material characteristics

  • Unbelievably strong after-glow effect.
  • High aesthetic surface quality.
  • Warp-free printing.
  • Perfect layer adhesion.

Application of PET-G with glow effect

  • Production of items with major ornamental and artistic effects.
  • Production of items to help identify emergency exits for power outages.
  • Advertising and broadly defined decoration industry.
  • Manufacturing of various souvenirs, luminous pictures, glowing gadgets and figurines.

Packaging

A 0.5 kg filament is wound on a transparent spool, which contains information about the type of material, diameter, color and recommended printing temperature. Each coil is packed in a vacuum with a dehumidifier. All in the original Spectrum Filaments foil cardboard.

Coil dimensions

  • Outer diameter - 200 mm.
  • Width - 55 mm.
  • Inner diameter - 52 mm.
  • Weight of empty coil - ± 220 g.

Verify quality of 3D plastic thread

Spectrum Filaments is the only company in Poland and one of the few in the world that has a tool for testing purchased filaments. VERIFY YOUR SPOOL is the most accurate quality control system on the market, ensuring that Spectrum Filaments products meet his stringent requirements.

Filament for 3D printers is produced by free extrusion, which is one of the most difficult extrusion processing technologies, due to the particularly significant influence of process parameters on product dimensions and material homogenization. During the manufacturing process, each 1mm of Spectrum Filaments is continuously measured in 2 axes with an accuracy of ±0.8 µm, resulting in a quality end product. To prove this, Spectrum Filaments, as one of the few manufacturers in the world, has introduced the possibility of an online presentation, individually for each coil produced:

  • diameter travel along the entire length of the coil;
  • average diameter;
  • ovality;
  • standard deviation.
