Industrial grade ABS GP450 is optimized for 3D printing. Spectrum ABS GP450 is an industry-class thread for building models by 3D printing. This material has an amorphous structure. And it is popular due to high impact strength, hardness, relatively high resistance to scratches. Spectrum ABS GP450 is used for printing strong and impact-resistant parts. The composition of the material - compared to classic ABS - has been optimized for additive production, which allows you to print at very high speeds (up to 200 mm/s) without any loss of mechanical properties. Another important feature is the ease of breaking off the supporting structures. Also it demonstrates improved adhesion of the first layer to the building plate of the 3D printer, which reduces the strong effect of deformation and bending of the model at the edges.

Good mechanical properties, especially high deformability of the material and its high toughness will allow to produce static and dynamic load-bearing parts of different designs. Especially good insulating properties of Spectrum ABS GP450 fiber allow to print details which protect from an electric current, and rather high hardness allows to print the tools and devices used in assembly or serial production.

ABS GP450 demonstrates much higher mechanical strength than other similar materials available on the market.

ABS GP450 Packaging

The thread weighing 1.0 kg is wound on a transparent spool, which contains information about the type of material, diameter, color and recommended printing temperature. Each coil is packed in a vacuum with a dehumidifier. All in the original Spectrum Filaments foil cardboard.

During the manufacturing process, each 1mm of Spectrum Filaments is continuously measured in 2 axes with an accuracy of ±0.8 µm, resulting in a quality end product. To prove this, Spectrum Filaments, as one of the few manufacturers in the world, has introduced the possibility of an online presentation, individually for each coil produced:

  • diameter travel along the entire length of the coil;
  • average diameter;
  • ovality;
  • standard deviation.
