PA6 CS20 FR V0 filament Spectrum Filaments 1,75 mm / 0,75 kg

Flame-resistant 3D plastic PA6 CS20 FR V0

Flame-resistant PA6 CS20 FR V0 is a construction material based on polycaprolactam. Ceramic fillers were added to the base material, which increase the thermal stability of the mixture without causing problems with printing and processing. Thanks to the use of halogen-free flame retardant, the combustibility rating of UL-94 V0 is achieved on printed parts with a thickness of ≥0.4 mm. Spectrum PA6 CS20 FR V0 also has low moisture absorption, resistance to high temperatures and good electrical insulation. No heated chamber is required during printing and no distortion (shrinkage) occurs. The material is compatible with auxiliary materials HIPS and PVOH.

Components manufactured using flame-resistant PA6 CS20 FR V0 can operate at elevated temperatures up to 120 °C for a long time (20,000 hours) and up to 160 °C for a short time (max. 200 hours).

The raw material from which the Spectrum PA6 CS20 FR V0 thread is made complies with the EN 45545 standard in the railway industry.

To obtain very attractive technical properties of Spectrum PA6 CS20 FR V0, it is necessary to follow the basic rules of storage of such materials (in a dry and dark place with humidity below 15 %). For best results on the printed object, it is recommended that you dry the material before use.

Tip: Due to the significant content of glass microspheres, it is recommended to use nozzles with a diameter greater than the standard value of 0.4 mm. The presence of glass microspheres can also cause wear of standard nozzles; therefore for long-term use of Spectrum PA6 CS20 FR V0 it is recommended to use nozzles from hardened steel or ruby.

Material characteristics

  • Unprecedentedly low processing shrinkage (linear) < 0.1 %.
  • High temperature resistance up to 160 °C for short term operation (max. 200h).
  • High temperature resistance up to 120 °C for long-term operation (20,000h).
  • Heat deflection temperature - HDT A 90 °C (ISO 75).
  • Water absorption less than 0.3 % (23 °C / 24 h).
  • Electrical insulator.
  • Flammability rating UL 94 – V0 (thickness ≥ 0.4 mm).
  • High mechanical strength.
  • Very strong lamination of layers.
  • High hardness and rigidity of manufactured elements.

Usage PA6 CS20 FR V0

Packaging

A 0.75 kg filament is wound on a transparent spool, which contains information about the type of material, diameter, color and recommended printing temperature. Each coil is packed in a vacuum with a dehumidifier. All in the original Spectrum Filaments foil cardboard.

Coil dimensions

  • Outer diameter - 200 mm.
  • Width - 55 mm.
  • Inner diameter - 52 mm.
  • Weight of empty coil - ± 220 g.

Verify quality of 3D plastic thread

Spectrum Filaments is the only company in Poland and one of the few in the world that has a tool for testing purchased filaments. VERIFY YOUR SPOOL is the most accurate quality control system on the market, ensuring that Spectrum Filaments products meet his stringent requirements.

Filament for 3D printers is produced by free extrusion, which is one of the most difficult extrusion processing technologies, due to the particularly significant influence of process parameters on product dimensions and material homogenization. During the manufacturing process, each 1mm of Spectrum Filaments is continuously measured in 2 axes with an accuracy of ±0.8 µm, resulting in a quality end product. To prove this, Spectrum Filaments, as one of the few manufacturers in the world, has introduced the possibility of an online presentation, individually for each coil produced:

  • diameter travel along the entire length of the coil;
  • average diameter;
  • ovality;
  • standard deviation.
