The Raise3D RMF500 industrial grade 3D printer is large-format equipment for high-speed and accurate FFF 3D printing of end-use composite parts. The printer is designed for highly efficient, productive and repeatable production of industrial quality parts.

The RMF500 industrial 3D printer is specially designed for full-size, non-partitioning 3D printing of complex parts with a high strength-to-weight ratio using fiber-reinforced thermoplastics.


Expansion of the library of certified materials

Raise3D's Open Filament Program (OFP) continuously works with third-party filament manufacturers to identify and select the most efficient materials for Raise3D printers. OFP has now entered phase 2.0 with certified industrial filaments with specific mechanical properties and guaranteed improved performance.

Compartment for filaments

The RMF500 has four large multi-purpose filament cartridges. Each cartridge has a maximum load of 2.5 kg. The printer is capable of automatically switching materials when printing and has an overpressure control of humidity below 5% RH. This ensures uninterrupted printing with materials of consistent quality, reducing the need for constant intervention in the process.

High hardness of the nozzle

The RMF500 uses silicon carbide tips with a hardness of over 60 HRC to resist nozzle abrasion when 3D printing with carbon and fiberglass materials.

Specialization of auxiliary printing materials

When developing fiber-reinforced materials, Raise3D develops a special support material to pair with it. For example, the support thread, which is easily detached from the body of the part, made of PA12 CF material - as a result, the surface of the overhang will be clean.

High-precision production at high speed

Powered by FFF technology, the RMF500 3D printer is incredibly fast and productive while maintaining industrial-grade print accuracy.

The printer has a huge assembly volume, a constant flow of extrusion, a high printing speed of up to 1000 mm/s and provides repeatable positioning accuracy of XYZ - 1; 1; 0.09765 μm. Thanks to the Independent Dual Extruder (IDEX) system, 2 print jobs can be run simultaneously, making the RMF500 even faster and more productive.


Linear motor for speed and precision

The RMF500 uses a linear motor-driven system with a 1μm synchronized closed-loop system, which outperforms the traditional system of belts, pulleys and lead screws. This linear motor system gives the RMF500 2G acceleration and a speed of over 1000 mm/s.

    Huge and reliable assembly space

    The working space size of the RMF500 is 500×500×500 mm for both single and dual extruder printing. The platform is equipped with a PEI build plate with a pressure sensor for worry-free start-up and easy impression removal.

    IDEX high performance extruders

    RMF500 Independent Extrusion Systems (IDEX) are manufactured using high temperature alloys and industrial ceramic composite materials. Each extruder has a heating power of up to 300 W, which ensures a stable and high extrusion speed of up to 500 g/h.

    Super strong construction

    The all-steel frame provides the RMF500 with high capacity and performance. The RMF500 features high quality linear guide steel with low backlash, a Z-axis with a maximum load limit of over 100kg and 50% less deviation error.

    Competitive economic efficiency

    The RMF500 is the most cost-effective printer in terms of material productivity and process cost. Effective application of materials science has led to optimization of system design to significantly reduce energy consumption. Raise3D's material scientists have created a carbon fiber reinforced filament with higher stiffness and lower shrinkage, it does not require a heated chamber to avoid deformation as is common in 3D printing. This results in a much more efficient printer that doesn't need to draw as much power, using 120W to power one hot end. Parts made from carbon fiber reinforced thread are lightweight yet extremely strong, making them a potentially ideal alternative to metal parts.


    • The science of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic

    Raise3D's team of materials scientists can produce composite filaments with significantly improved thermal and mechanical properties by reinforcing thermoplastic fibers. Fiber-reinforced filaments have high printability and require an environment that does not have to be as hot as other print materials.

    • Working chamber without heating

    Due to the fact that the working chamber does not have heating, the peak power consumption is less than 3 kW. The average energy consumption per unit of printing area is 60% lower than that of competitors.

    • The cost of the thread

    Raise3D fiber-reinforced filaments are competitively priced, making additive manufacturing with fiber-reinforced thermoplastics more affordable.


    RMF500 3D printer is built to last

    In addition to all other advantages, the RMF500 has load-bearing structural parts made of high-quality hardened steel, and the maximum load that the Z-axis can withstand is about 100 kg. The linear motor system has low clearance and low maintenance requirements. The high-load Z-axis deviation error over the entire travel range is estimated to be 50% lower than competitive products.
